It was a pleasure photographing Sahar and Saidal’s Georgetown Washington DC Engagement this weekend! We hit up three different locations for photos and had so much fun!
Our first stop was the National Gallery of Art downtown. The NGA is one of those few places in DC that actually has some foliage in the middle of winter. Between the gorgeous paintings and sculptures adorning the walls and hallways of the gallery, there are small sections with atriums containing lush plant-filled gardens. Jackpot! From the gorgeous greenery to the classical archways and pillars, I was in photography heaven.
We then made our way over to the historic Georgetown University campus where Sahar is currently getting her degree. Such a beautiful campus! Healy Hall provided the perfect backdrop for us before heading over to the Georgetown Waterfront where Sahar and Saidal had their first date. We walked along the waterfront pathway, the same path they took when they began to fall in love, and captured so many wonderful tender moments as they reminisced about that first date that started it all. We ended the session on the waterfront steps overlooking the Kennedy Center lights at dusk, one of their favorite memories.
Saidal and Sahar make one incredibly sweet and loving couple! Look at those smiles- they are beaming! I am so happy for them!
Sahar wore a beautiful emerald green dress (one of my favorite colors). She is gorgeous- both inside and out!
Look at the adoring way Saidal gazes at his bride, and the gentile way he caresses her face. He is clearly smitten! I love getting to capture this kind of amazing chemistry.
The Georgetown Waterfront at dusk reminds me of Paris along the Seine River. Purple-blue shadows and golden yellow highlighted reflections dance along the Potomac in the background.
Congratulations, Sahar and Saidal! I am so excited for you, and I can’t wait to photograph your upcoming wedding in October 2018!
